Job Description
The Strategic Initiatives (SI) team within the Strategic Solutions and Business Insights (SSBI) portfolio is broadly responsible for designing and executing on transformational initiatives for U.S. Bank Operations. Our aim is to deliver efficiencies, reduce expenses, mitigate risk, regulatory issues, and enhance the customer and employee experience. Our work ranges from identifying and solving highly strategic complex problems to leading large multi-year programs with stakeholders across the bank.
As a member of the team, you will work in a highly collaborative fashion with a large cross-section of stakeholders, partners, and other colleagues. You will become a trusted advisor to the leadership team and business partners across Operations. Reporting to a portfolio director, you will:
+ Design, execute, and deliver on one or more initiatives in support of U.S. Bank Operations’ and SSBI’s strategy
+ Lead each initiative through ideation, scoping, funding (CapEx and OpEx), execution, and benefit delivery
+ Utilize and propagate the bank’s standards for developing deliverables, managing projects, reporting progress and managing risks and issues
+ Create relevant reporting to fulfill stakeholder needs
+ Provide governance across the initiatives
+ Develop trusted relationships with senior leaders and key business partners
+ Contribute your experience, learnings, and thought leadership to the broader SI team on the industry, best practices, analytics, etc.
+ Support shaping the strategy and execution of the SI team itself
You will bring an eagerness to expand your knowledge base of program execution and delivery, critical thinking, relationship management, and a learning mindset to support critical changes and accelerate execution. You will display high energy and resilience in ambiguous and fast-paced contexts. You welcome the opportunity to learn new systems and skillsets and develop executive presence.
This role does not support a visa sponsorship and requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
Qualifications:
+ 6+ years of progressive experience supporting large-scale, enterprise-wide transformative initiatives in financial services
+ Experience with managing strategic and operational transformations
+ Ability to operate in a demanding high-expectations and standards environment
+ Problem solver with an ownership mindset, instead of a facilitator
+ Exceptional strategic, analytical, problem-solving, and storyboarding skills
+ Ability to influence without authority, leveraging a positive, consultative approach to clients and team members
+ Detail-orientation with excellent organizational skills and ability to adapt to change
+ Demonstrated commitment to professional development through ongoing education
+ High degree of comfort with ambiguity and executive presence
+ Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
+ Master's degree or equivalent work experience
+ Experience in banking industry / operations or contracting / consulting firms
+ Proficient in Smartsheet, Jira, Dragonboat, and other productivity tools and applications
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
+ Six or more years of related experience

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $98,175.00 - $115,500.00
