DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY: Performing all back-office duties. Maintain confidentiality of patient’s information, maintain work area and exam rooms, maintain professional appearance and conduct. #OA
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist Physician in clinic with minor procedures and PRP Procedures.
• Perform all back-office duties, including rooming and taking patient histories. Applying and removing dressings, sutures, and staples.
• Applying and removing cast, splints and DME.
• Preparing patients for surgery and post-operative care.
• Drawing blood.
• Ordering test, DME and Injections.
• Scheduling surgeries.
• Charting and phone triage.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient’s information.
• Maintain work area and exam rooms.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct.
• Adhere to OSHA Standards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Prior Orthopedic experience or training is helpful but not required.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certificates, licenses, and registrations required: CMA, CCMA, NCRMA, ROT, OTC
• Computer skills required: Basic computer knowledge and EMR experience.
• Other skills helpful but not required: casting, splinting and brace knowledge.
