    Contract Opportunity: CT Technologist in Palo Alto, CA

We’re seeking an experienced **CT Technologist** to join our team on a contract basis, performing high-quality CT procedures using advanced imaging technology.     Rotating 3x12 hr shifts

     

    Pay range: $53.00 to $84.00 per hour, depending on experience

    What You’ll Do

    + Perform routine and specialized CT examinations using established protocols.

    + Administer IV contrast according to department policies.

    + Ensure all CT equipment and accessories are properly maintained; report issues promptly.

    + Evaluate images for technical quality and accuracy, ensuring proper labeling and sequencing.

    + Transmit completed exams to PACS for interpretation.

    + Prepare and instruct patients for procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.

    + Apply radiation safety principles and operate CT scanners effectively.

    + Position patients using appropriate immobilization and protective measures.

    + Maintain excellent exam quality, including accurate DFOV, protocol use, and patient identifiers.

    + Prepare rooms efficiently for optimal workflow and scan volume.

    + Troubleshoot equipment issues, reboot systems, and coordinate service assistance as needed.

    + Support technologist training programs and collaborate with radiologists and team members.

    Education

    + High school diploma required.

    Skills & Abilities

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    + Ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

    + Capability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.

    + Skilled in performing general and complex diagnostic imaging procedures.

    + Ability to meet departmental standards for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.

    + Proficient in identifying, documenting, and communicating equipment issues.

    + Collaborative team player with strong problem-solving abilities.

    + Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and congenital/acquired pathology.

    + Knowledge of imaging workflows, fluoroscopic techniques, and patient-positioning methods.

    + Familiarity with image processing principles and related software systems.

    Licenses & Certifications

    + **BLS – Basic Life Support**

    + **CRT – Certified Radiologic Technologist**

    + **ARRT-RTR – Radiography**

    + **ARRT-CT – CT certification** (required within 1 year)

    + **Venipuncture Certification** (within 30 days of hire)

    Additional Requirement

    + Must have CT experience with **GE and Siemens CT scanners** .
