    Job Title: Architectural Drafter

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Architectural Drafter to develop standard product details and produce shop/installation drawings of roof metal panels used in commercial, industrial, and architectural applications. This role requires creating detailed and accurate drawings while coordinating with engineering personnel and ensuring compliance with company drafting and product standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Produce shop drawings based on customer submitted drawings and specifications.

    + Interpret information from internal order acknowledgements and customer supplied structural and architectural plans.

    + Draw floor plans, elevations, and details according to company drafting standards.

    + Coordinate panel analysis with engineering personnel.

    + Conduct quality checks on peer drawings and bill of materials.

    + Review and update drawings according to customer redline corrections.

    + Produce bill of material list in company format from the final approved set of drawings.

    + Interface with internal and external project stakeholders.

    + Develop standard details, manuals, and prints for products in 2D and 3D.

    + Assist sales staff and customer service with current and future projects.

    + Assist architects and customers with project-specific questions.

    + Create product submittals for new projects..

    Essential Skills

    + Proficient in CAD and Revit.

    + Experience with shop drawing and building envelope systems such as ACM, single skin, and insulated panels.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Associates Degree or higher, Technical degree or equivalent level of related experience.

    + Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.

    + Previous experience in pre-engineered metal building and/or architectural design preferred.

    Work Environment

    The role may require occasional travel for further training or customer relations enhancement. Physical demands include sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, with frequent lifting of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Deland, FL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
