    Job Title: Licensed Architect

     

    Pay: $38.46-$55.28/hr

    Position Overview

    A growing architecture firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality design solutions seeks a Licensed Architect to join its Idaho team. Following recent wins on multiple large-scale Department of Defense (DoD) and public sector projects—including manufacturing facilities, testing laboratories, and fire stations—the firm is expanding to support long-term strategic growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Lead architectural teams through all phases of design and documentation, ensuring compliance with project goals and federal standards.

    + Oversee Revit-based production workflows from schematic design through construction documents.

    + Serve as the primary point of contact for government clients, managing expectations and fostering strong relationships.

    + Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources.

    + Mentor junior staff and coordinate with consultants and engineers.

    + Ensure all deliverables meet applicable codes, DoD criteria, and federal agency requirements.

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.

    + Active Architectural License.

    + 7–10 years of architectural design experience for federal, municipal, mixed-use, or commercial projects.

    + Proficiency in Revit (8/10 skill level).

    + Experience managing budgets, schedules, and deadlines.

    + Minimum 5 years working on construction documents.

    Preferred Skills

    + AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Design Development experience.

    + Familiarity with schematic design, architectural drawings, and project management.

    + Exposure to retail and mixed-use projects.

    Disqualifiers

    + No active Architectural License.

    + Less than 7 years of architectural design experience for federal, municipal, mixed-use, or commercial projects.

    + No proficiency in Revit.

    + No experience with government or municipal facilities.

    + Cannot manage budgets, schedules, and deadlines.

    + No experience producing construction documents (minimum 5 years required).

    + Job-hopping tenure (frequent short-term roles without stability).

    + Not willing to work hybrid schedule (onsite Tuesday–Thursday in Idaho office).

    + No leadership or mentoring experience.

    Work Environment

    + Office-based with 2–3 team members.

    + Hybrid schedule: In-office Tuesday–Thursday, remote Monday and Friday.

    + Workweek: Four 9-hour days and a half-day Friday (7 AM–5 PM or 8 AM–6 PM; Friday 8 AM–12 PM).

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $55.28/hr.
