Job Title: Controls EngineerJob Description
Join a dynamic team in a large-scale bakery manufacturing environment, specializing in baked goods such as croissants, muffins, cupcakes, and cakes for the North American market. This role involves updating and programming for Rockwell/Allen Bradley systems, working closely with the maintenance and engineering teams to ensure seamless operation and integration of new equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Troubleshoot and program Rockwell/Allen Bradley HMI's, PLC's, and Servo Drives.
+ Serve as a liaison between the maintenance and engineering teams.
+ Oversee maintenance tasks and assist in managing CAPEX projects.
+ Collaborate with vendors and third-party integrators to ensure equipment meets programming specifications.
+ Lead and guide four controls technicians.
+ Engage in 60-70% office work including project management and facility improvements.
+ Spend 30-40% of time on the floor for programming and troubleshooting tasks.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years in controls engineering with expertise in troubleshooting and programming HMI/PLC's (Rockwell/Allen Bradley preferred).
+ Strong project management skills involving vendors and new equipment.
+ Ability to validate language specifications and guide a team of controls technicians.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals or food and beverage.
+ Robotics experience, particularly with ABB systems.
Work Environment
This role is based in a climate-controlled industrial bakery where adherence to hygiene standards is essential, including wearing beard and hair nets. The facility houses a team of 650 individuals with ongoing expansion plans. Enjoy a collaborative work culture focused on automation and equipment modernization.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
