    Job Description

    Join a multi-billion dollar global Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) powerhouse with a portfolio of powerful, globally recognized brands. This is your opportunity to lead operations at the largest U.S. plant, offering the stability and strategic influence of a multinational enterprise. We are actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Production Manager to join the Plant Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the Site Senior Director of Manufacturing, you will champion critical high-speed Aerosol and Liquid Filling operations, driving supply chain success from end-to-end. This leadership position requires you to be the strategic champion who inspires, develops, and leads the manufacturing team to achieve success. You will own all critical operational KPIs—including Service, Cost, Productivity, Quality, Safety, and NPD/EPD start-up—by actively driving the implementation and sustainment of Continuous Improvement (CI)/Lean Manufacturing efforts across the plant.

    Responsibilities

    + Coach and mentor a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion, developing staff and creating clear personal growth plans to ensure every employee feels encouraged and motivated.

    + Instill a positive, proactive safety culture to minimize accidents and lost-time injuries, ensuring all training standards (including Job Safety Analysis - JSA) are developed, maintained, and actively implemented.

    + Maintain full accountability for the financial performance of all managed manufacturing areas, ensuring compliance with budgets and identifying opportunities for cost reduction without sacrificing quality or safety.

    + Optimize production flow, manage staffing for the 24/7 schedule, and troubleshoot manufacturing issues to ensure the on-time production and shipment of conforming products.

    + Develop and execute plans that directly support the business's 3-year strategic growth objectives.

    + Lead the implementation and sustainment of Lean Manufacturing principles across multiple production units, meeting or exceeding daily KPIs and taking swift corrective action.

    + Partner with Quality and Regulatory groups to uphold high product quality standards and implement robust quality systems that meet customer requirements.

    + Serve as a critical member of the Plant Leadership Team, leading the development and sharing of best practices across the entire corporate network.

    + Work collaboratively across functions (Quality, Supply Chain, Finance) to ensure cohesive execution toward unified KPIs (service, cost, quality, and safety).

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related degree.

    + 7 or more years of management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a CPG company.

    + Lean manufacturing experience.

    + ERP experience (e.g., SAP).

    + Experience with using technology associated with filler and packaging lines preferred.

    + High-speed aerosol and/or liquid filling experience preferred.

    + Strong leadership experience with proven results in manufacturing and supply chain.

    + Ability to develop manufacturing methods to meet product cost targets.

    + Effective communication skills with employees at all levels of the organization.

    + Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

    + Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general computer proficiency.

    + Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with exceptional attention to detail.

    + Solid analytical and mathematical skills.

    + Ability to comprehend financial reports including budgetary guidelines, manufacturing labor and material standards, and project expenditures.

    + Ability to delegate and assign work, problem solve, answer questions, and evaluate performance.

    + Ability to exercise independent judgment and interact with maturity and professionalism with subordinates, peers, superiors, and external organizations.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Strong ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

    + High-speed aerosol and/or liquid filling experience preferred.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This role oversees a highly dynamic, seasonal business that operates 24/7 during peak periods, requiring leadership of a team of supervisors, engineers, and maintenance personnel guiding an overall workforce of 100 to 200 employees.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $57.00 - $65.00/hr.
