What you will do:
+ Supervise a motivated team of professionals and ensure that they have the skills, knowledge and opportunities to reach their full potential.
+ Prepare and review Federal and state corporate and partnership tax returns and related extensions and estimates
+ Answer ad-hoc tax-related inquiries and handle federal, state and local tax notices
+ Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion of work while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality
+ Perform technical tax research on a variety of Federal and state tax topics
+ Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations; performance in-depth tax search, deliver timely and high-quality services that exceed client expectations
What you need to bring:
+ BA/BS degree in Accounting, or Master's degree in Accounting/Taxation
+ Public accounting experience required
+ 5+ years of experience in federal and state income tax prep
+ Experience managing a team
+ CCH Axcess tax experience preferred
+ Excellent research, writing and communication skills
+ Process-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Solid organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
+ Demonstrates responsibility, take ownership of tasks, and collaborate effectively as a team player
Preferred Qualifications:
+ CPA preferred
+ Strong corporate tax compliance
+ ProSystem fx Engagement experience is a plus
