Now hiring a PLC Technician in Mechanicsburg, PA

Job Description

As a PLC Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting PLCs in the plant on manufacturing equipment. You will pull up the code and make necessary edits to programs, perform electrical and mechanical repairs, and ensure the equipment operates at desired capacity to produce quality products.

Shift: 3rd shift 2-2-3 schedule 6pm-6am (could consider 1st shift/work up to it!)

Pay Rate: $32-$40/hour based on experience

Responsibilities

+ Install, monitor, and repair PLC devices and functions related to PLC devices such as hardware and software programs.

+ Support PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, and other electronics.

+ Perform electrical repairs and troubleshoot with inputs/outputs through PLCs.

+ Edit code, follow PM schedules, and handle hydraulics.

+ Maintain and repair equipment in all plant areas and assist with setup and installation of new utilities.

+ Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust control systems, power, and motor control systems, and frequency drives.

+ Diagnose and repair problems causing equipment downtime.

+ Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to achieve zero downtime.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and program editing.

+ Ability to perform electrical repairs and troubleshoot with PLCs.

+ Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems and repairs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of MECHANICSBURG, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $67600.00 - $83200.00/yr.

Vacation/Benefits info

Given 2 weeks PTO right away, a month after hire. from 1-6 years of service you will earn a total of 144 hours. Cannot carry hours over into the next year, but can at end of year cash in up to 40 hours of PTO.

32 hours of sick leave for the year - will be prorated based on when their start date is if they get the full amount right away.

Retirement with 401k match up to 3%

Health insurance is eligible on 1st of the month following your date of hire.

Pay is biweekly
