    Job Title: Press Assistant

    Job Description

    We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Press Assistants. This entry-level role provides a fantastic opportunity to enter the printing industry and potentially grow into a Press Operator position. Currently, we have multiple openings available across all three shifts.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist Press Operators in setup, make-ready, and clean-up activities.

    + Change labels from one job to another.

    + Clean ink pans and other ancillary equipment.

    + Strip plates from cylinders.

    + Follow all quality assurance checks.

    + Differentiate colors on labels and read/use a ruler for various measurements.

    + Participate in all department meetings, process improvement events, and trainings/safety.

    + Lift up to 50 pounds at various times.

    + Stand and move around for long periods of time.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to stand for long periods of time.

    + Proficiency in reading and using a ruler and tape measure.

    + General production tasks experience is a plus.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to input data into a computer when required.

    + Skill in differentiating colors and labels.

    + Ability to read and understand job tickets.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment includes three shifts: 1st shift from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 2nd shift from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., and 3rd shift from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Employees are paid for 8 hours with a 30-minute lunch and two 10-minute breaks. The York plant employs around 225 full-time staff and specializes in extended content labels for pharmaceutical products.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
