1st Shift Aerospace Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated 1st Shift Mechanical Assemblers to join our team at a military and defense facility in Santa Ana, CA. This role involves repetitive work in a high-paced production environment, aiming to produce 5000 units per month. The position offers competitive hourly pay based on experience, with opportunities for overtime during the week and on Saturdays.

Responsibilities

+ Perform mechanical assemblies in a manufacturing setting, preferably in aerospace, electronics, or medical industries.

+ Utilize common hand tools and power tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, depth micrometers, calipers, and multimeters.

+ Read and interpret wiring diagrams and follow assembly instructions accurately.

+ Communicate effectively with engineering and production teams.

+ Adapt to rapidly changing roles and responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.

+ Ensure high-quality production by following precise mechanical assembly processes.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.

+ Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.

+ Working knowledge of electrical components.

+ Ability to read wiring diagrams.

+ Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in assembling high-quality wire harnesses, test racks, junction boxes, and related components.

+ Capability to perform validation and testing of electronic components using equipment like multimeters and oscilloscopes.

+ Familiarity with air-frame construction techniques such as rivets and mechanical fasteners.

+ Proficiency in electronic box assembly troubleshooting.

+ Ability to run functional checkouts and diagnose issues.

+ Experience with RF systems testing and troubleshooting.

+ PCBA troubleshooting experience.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, professional environment with a large, expanding company that has recently received funding to build a new facility. The role requires working on a 1st shift schedule from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Ana, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
