Job Title: Structural Fitter

Job Description

We are seeking a Structural Fitter with expertise in welding solutions to join our fabrication and construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and welding structural components according to engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring high-quality standards and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

+ Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine assembly and welding requirements.

+ Fit and align structural components using appropriate tools and techniques.

+ Inspect and verify weld quality to meet industry standards and project specifications.

+ Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, torches, and cutting machines.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in fitting and welding structural components.

+ Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to remain alert for extended periods.

+ Experience in operating fabrication equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Prior construction or industrial experience is a plus.

+ OSHA 10 certification is a plus.

Work Environment

The position is based at a coast guard base, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, with Saturdays required when working overtime.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of North Charleston, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
