Job Title: Industrial Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic for 2nd shift openings, with training provided on 1st shift for the first four weeks. The role involves maintaining and repairing all equipment and machine tools in the plant, as well as installing new equipment as needed. You will also perform preventative maintenance tasks using established maintenance practices.
Responsibilities
+ Perform a wide variety of work in assembly, welding, and parts making, requiring a high level of expertise.
+ Work from drawings, engineering specifications, sketches, and verbal instructions to build, maintain, or rework a wide variety of prototype components, lab fixtures, and test vehicles.
+ Plan, lay out, fabricate, and assemble complex parts and assemblies using machine tools, welding, brazing, and burning equipment.
+ Devise and construct fixtures and tooling, and tear down, repair, modify, rebuild, or assemble units and components to meet engineering design, test, and operating requirements.
+ Maintain records, operate material handling equipment, and move materials as required.
+ Inform appropriate supervision of faulty equipment, defective parts, and unusual conditions, and maintain work areas in a clean, orderly manner.
+ Follow prescribed safety and work rules and perform other duties as required.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in an industrial environment, with 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting and at least 3 months in a production setting.
+ Ability to work successfully with computers and software systems.
+ Capability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Strong team player who is organized and self-motivated.
+ Experience with CNC machinery, lathes, mills, hydraulic press, saw, and drill press.
+ Welding knowledge for prototype builds.
+ Assembly skills for building skidsteers and compact track loaders from the ground up.
+ Knowledge in hydraulics, electrical systems, and following engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
+ Background in R&D environments, mechanical skills, and trade skills such as welding, fabricating, and assembling.

Work Environment
You will work outside onsite, requiring the use of steel toe boots. Collaboration is key as you'll work closely with one other individual in the field and interact with a team of around 10 people. Safety and teamwork are prioritized in our work environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Wichita, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
