Job Title: Lead Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a 1st shift Lead Maintenance Mechanic who will serve as a working supervisor, managing a maintenance team while engaging in hands-on work. This position requires strong experience with conveyors, troubleshooting, and leading a team of 10 or more individuals. The ideal candidate will have prior management experience in a distribution center or heavy conveyor facility.

Responsibilities

+ Provide mechanical and electrical support, and troubleshoot automated material handling system components

+ Delegate workload and prioritize tasks efficiently.

+ Create and complete production and maintenance standard operating procedures (SOPs).

+ Perform mechanical and lubrication tasks on automated material handling equipment, including belt installation, bolt and tension roll adjustment, straightening parts, aligning rollers, and replacing defective parts.

+ Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance and repairs on equipment such as pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, and electronic and electrical equipment according to safety and quality procedures.

+ Assist in formulating preventative maintenance standards and work procedures while performing duties and provide work order feedback on discrepancies noted in service delivery.

+ Troubleshoot and repair material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, automated conveyor systems, and key components of the facility, including automated put-wall (pick-to-light systems), HighJump (WMS), PandA (Print and Apply) components, and Intelligrated conveyor systems.

+ Utilize various tools and instruments to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on conveying systems according to established standards.

+ Provide daily support to operations.

Essential Skills

+ 5+ years of hands-on leadership experience.

+ Advanced PC skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook.

+ CMMS Certification, specifically with Maintenance Connection.

+ Strong knowledge of maintenance supervision and troubleshooting in a distribution center setting.

+ Experience with conveyors and distribution center operations.

Work Environment

This is a 1st Shift position with working hours from 7 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burlington, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
