CNC Machinist - 1st Shift - Pay based on experience!

Job Description

Join our dynamic team in the toolmaking and CNC department where you will play a crucial role in custom metal work manufacturing. You will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC vertical mills, working off blueprints, and potentially performing between 5-10 setups per day. This role also offers opportunities for those with programming experience to utilize their skills in programming and SolidWorks for CAD.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate CNC vertical mills.

+ Work from blueprints to ensure precise manufacturing.

+ Perform between 5-10 setups per day.

+ Utilize programming skills if applicable, including the use of SolidWorks for CAD.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with CNC machining and toolmaking.

+ Proficiency in operating CNC vertical mills.

+ Familiarity with Fanuc controls and setup processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ SolidWorks CAD experience for those at a programming level.

Work Environment

Our machine shop is a standard CNC and tool-making environment, featuring a relatively clean but sometimes loud setting due to running machines. The CNC shop is housed in a separate, sizable building from the main facility. The standard shift runs from 7 AM to 3:15 PM, with flexibility based on candidate needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Lakeville, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62000.00 - $81000.00/yr.

50% match of 401K up to $10,000

15% discount on Ottertail Corp stock

machinist get 2 weeks PTO to start, 3 weeks if on 2nd shift

-Currently offering a $5K sign on bonus as well but that is not a permanent offer - going through end of March

-20% shift differential on 2nd shift and 33% for weekend shift (1st shift - 12 hour days)

-Company offers year end bonus (depends on profit/revenue)
