Facilities Technician

Job Description

This role involves performing preventative maintenance and repairs within a hospital facility. The technician will be responsible for tasks such as drywall repair, door and lock repairs, changing light bulbs and air filters, and troubleshooting basic plumbing fixtures like toilets and sinks.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs in the hospital facility.

+ Perform drywall repair and door and lock repairs.

+ Change light bulbs and air filters as needed.

+ Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing fixtures such as toilets and sinks.

+ Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with hand tools and power tools.

+ Mechanical aptitude and skills in construction, plumbing, paint prep, repair, carpentry, and electrical work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry are highly sought after but not required.

+ Familiarity with utilizing an online work order system is a plus.

Work Environment

The position involves performing general maintenance duties within a hospital setting, with a work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. There are no on-call duties while in the initial role, but once converted, on-call duties will be required one week per month. While overtime is not frequent, there may be occasional extended hours for critical tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chester, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
