    Job Title: Scheduling Clerk - Transportation

    Job Description

    This role involves coordinating the scheduling and flow of inbound and outbound transportation, handling carrier and equipment requirements, and serving as the primary backup for the Shipping Clerk. The Scheduling Clerk will also assist with internal customer service tasks.

    Responsibilities

    + Coordinate with Transportation Management Outbound Leadership and carriers to arrange timely order and direct delivery pickups.

    + Schedule inbound freight appointments in coordination with Transportation Management Inbound Leadership and carriers.

    + Perform systematic trailer arrival and departure operations.

    + Prepare necessary documentation and contact carriers for pickups.

    + Monitor updates and actions in transit reports and error logs.

    + Provide assistance to customer service representatives concerning order status and special customer needs.

    + Manage document control for Purchase Orders and Bills of Lading.

    + Serve as a primary backup to the Senior Clerk shipping.

    + Perform other duties as deemed necessary or assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + High School Diploma or equivalency.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    + Ability to lift up to 40 lbs frequently.

    + Capability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.

    + Adaptability to changing situations.

    + Good interpersonal skills.

    + Detail-oriented and team-oriented.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Working knowledge of Blue Yonder, TOPS, MARC, and WMS systems.

    + Fork Lift, High Low, and Overhead crane experience.

    + Prior shipping experience ranging from small packages to machinery.

    + 5 years of experience in warehousing and inventory transactions in an automotive manufacturing environment.

    Work Environment

     

    The role requires flexibility to work different shifts and overtime with little or no notice. The position involves handling various transportation and logistics equipment and requires adherence to ISO9000 processes and procedures. Casual attire is expected, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment is essential.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Easton, PA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
