Job Title: Structured Cable Technician
Job Description
This entry-level position involves assisting senior technicians with data cabling and security installations. You will work closely with experienced professionals to learn and adapt to the technical demands of a low-voltage contractor. This role is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on experience in structured cabling and security systems. Initially, work will be out of state in locations such as Iowa, Texas, and Atlanta, with a full-time position based in Lebanon, IN starting mid-2026.
Responsibilities
+ Assist with installation of work area outlets for floors, modular furniture, and walls.
+ Drop cable down walls using fish tape or other approved methods.
+ Route cable through modular furniture systems.
+ Perform pre-termination procedures: organize, form, dress cables, determine length and slack, and label cables.
+ Suspend and support cable using proper methods such as cable trays, J-hooks, D-rings, bridal rings, and trapeze.
+ Build telecommunications closets: mount and install backboards, cross-connects, racks, patch panels, and fiber optic hardware.
+ Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cables as required.
+ Perform fire-stopping procedures on fire-rated walls, install sleeves, and pull cable through sleeves and core penetrations.
+ Terminate low-voltage devices including data, voice, and security.
+ Complete additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by senior technicians or supervisors.

Work Environment
Work on hyperscale projects, primarily at Meta data centers across various states. Long-term work will be based in Lebanon, IN. The typical work schedule is 10 hours a day, 5 days a week, with occasional weekends, from 6am to 4:30pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
