Description

In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing railcars for coating by removing paint, rust, and other surface materials. This is a physically active position that plays a key role in maintaining the quality and safety of railcars.

What You’ll Do

+ Set up and operate blasting machines for interior and exterior railcar surfaces

+ Clean, mask, prep, and coat designated areas of freight cars

+ Remove parts not needing blasting or painting

+ Use hand-held blasting tools to remove old coatings, rust, grease, and debris

+ Notify supervisors of any necessary railcar repairs

+ Washing, cleaning, detailing final product, disassemble, stencil, decals

+ prepping products for coating.

Currently seeking sand blaster for a facility located in Hockley, TX

Surface preparation for coating

Operate & maintain various blasting, spraying, & other equipment.

Prepare and clean items and surfaces to be finished.

Mask, plug, or block finished, machined, or specified surfaces not to be coated.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hockley, TX 77447.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $29.00/hr.
