    Job Title: Production Packer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Production Packer to join our bottling team. This role involves operating packaging equipment, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting and is committed to upholding the high standards of our iconic spirits.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate industrial packaging equipment including case feeders, bottle feeders, and case packers.

    + Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and routine maintenance.

    + Inspect products for quality assurance and ensure accurate packing.

    + Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adhere to safety protocols.

    + Maintain awareness of food safety, environmental, and quality standards.

    + Suggest and support process improvements to enhance efficiency.

    + Lift and move materials up to 50 pounds as needed.

    + Work effectively in loud, wet, and humid environments.

    + Support production during night shifts and overtime as required.

    + Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.

    + Communicate safety concerns and production issues clearly.

    + Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality.

    + Meet departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

    + Participate in ongoing skill development and training.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with packing, production, and packaging.

    + Industrial equipment operation skills, including case feeders, bottle feeders, and case packers.

    + Basic mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance skills.

    + Strong attention to detail for quality assurance.

    + Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

    + Awareness of food safety, environmental, and quality standards.

    + Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and withstand long periods of standing.

    + Comfortable working in loud, wet, and humid environments.

    + Stamina for night shifts and overtime.

    + Effective team collaboration skills.

    + Clear communication of safety and production issues.

    + Reliable attendance and punctuality.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Prior experience in a bottling or packaging facility is preferred.

    + Associate’s degree or technical certification in manufacturing or mechanics is a plus.

    + Ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues, including PLC and VFD systems.

    + Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and food safety regulations.

    + Willingness to work 10-hour shifts, including nights and occasional Fridays.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Albany, IN.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.90 - $17.90/hr.
