    Field Service Mechanic

     

    Pay: $24-26/Hour

     

    Shift: 6:30AM-2:30PM

    Job Description

    Provide technical support for aircraft pilot seats by repairing mechanical, electrical, and upholstery components. Utilize hand and occasionally power tools, follow computerized maintenance manuals, and occasionally travel to aircraft factories for installations, removals, or troubleshooting. Collaborate with customers, engineering, and technical support staff to resolve issues and complete repairs. Document processes and maintain records in SAP and Excel.

    Responsibilities

    + Repair aircraft pilot seats by removing and replacing components using hand and power tools.

    + Follow computerized component maintenance manuals.

    + Travel to aircraft factories as needed for installations, removals, or troubleshooting.

    + Interface with customers and home office engineering and technical support staff via phone and email.

    + Complete documentation and paperwork, utilizing SAP and Excel for tracking work.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience using hand tools for repair or assembly of mechanical components.

    + Proficiency in reading blueprints and instructions in English.

    + Excellent communication skills in English.

    + Ability to learn new processes and procedures, including documentation and computer use.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with aircraft interior component repair, including seating.

    + Familiarity with technical drawings and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM).

    Work Environment

     

    Work primarily at the main facility in Kent, a large space with loading docks, open areas for seat storage, parts inventory, and various workstations. Occasionally travel onsite to factories using a company van. Enjoy a consistent schedule of 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, with flexibility for slight adjustments, and rare on-call weekends. Be trained and mentored by a senior technician, ultimately becoming one of two Field Service Mechanics at this site.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, WA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
