**Purpose** :
The Medical Affairs unit of the Customer Information Quality (CIQ) organization is dedicated to establishing and maintaining quality systems that assure accurate materials and communications for healthcare professionals about Lilly products. CIQ operates within a quality management system framework that fosters continuous improvement of Lilly’s internal processes, thereby enabling greater focus on developing innovative and impactful solutions to elevate the Lilly customer experience. The Global Medical Affairs Process Improvement professional will work with cross-functional business partners to operationalize new capabilities and ensure documented procedures, processes, systems, and oversight plans are aligned to broader organizational quality requirements.
Key Objectives/Deliverables/Responsibilities:
The Associate Director - CIQ Global Medical Affairs will primarily be responsible for serving as the process owner for key processes within Global Medial Affairs with a focus on continuous improvement and implementation of the core concepts of quality management. The individual will lead and manage engagement with cross-functional teams, strategically define fit-for-purpose processes, apply change management and risk management principles to proactively assure quality of Medical Affairs deliverables, and provide coaching and training to business partners to ensure adherence to requirements.
Quality Oversight Process:
+ Responsible for the creation and ownership of the Medical Affairs Business Oversight Plan to enable new capabilities within the existing Quality infrastructure, in collaboration with Legal, Ethics & Compliance (E&C), and Quality teams.
+ Ensure consistency and standardization related to the integration of new capabilities.
+ Identify process performance issues and risks in collaboration with E&C and drive continuous improvement.
+ Act as a subject matter expert for Global Medical Affairs on matters related to Quality.
+ Oversees Audit Readiness for both new and established procedures and processes within Global Medical Affairs.
+ Lead cross-functional teams to accelerate and deliver on MALT-approved proactive customer communication/interaction methods.
+ Recognize and communicate potential obstacles that may hinder the implementation of proposed changes.
+ Review and provide constructive feedback on procedures for clarity, feasibility, and risk management.
+ Support the development of oversight plans, training programs and change management.
Process and Systems Creation/Optimization and Documentation:
+ Deliver targeted quality improvements that can be implemented across global operations.
+ Ensure that current policies and procedures incorporate new Medical Affairs capabilities across all channels, working closely with Ethics & Compliance.
+ Develop and execute recommendations to enhance process efficiency.
+ Advise on process modifications and offer insights into potential risks and opportunities.
Basic Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s Degree - Preferred in a scientific or health science or related field
+ Minimum 5 years of quality assurance experience, medical affairs experience or related work experience

+ Demonstrated ability to effectively work with a cross-functional team to achieve desired outcomes.
+ Advanced project management, strong decision-making skills, and a proven capacity to collaborate effectively across functions and levels within an organization
+ Possesses written and verbal communication skills and can convey information clearly to different audiences, including senior leadership.
+ Experience with CIQ processes and related quality systems.
+ Demonstrated learning agility and adeptness in navigating ambiguous situations.
+ Verified skill in prioritizing tasks and executing initiatives in alignment with established policies, processes, and procedures.
+ Experience in organizational change management.
+ Prior experience within Medical Affairs organization or the Medical Quality Organization.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$115,500 - $169,400
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
