    Aston Carter is partnering with a reputable client in the Northwest Milwaukee area to hire a Collections Specialist for a 6-month contract. While the primary focus is on this temporary assignment, there is potential for the role to become permanent.

     

    We are seeking candidates with 2+ years of strong B2B collections experience. Oracle experience is highly preferred but not required. This position is to cover for an upcoming retirement, and the client is eager to have someone start as soon as the week of December 8th.

    Job Description

    The Collections Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the collections process to ensure timely payment of outstanding accounts receivable. This role focuses on reducing delinquency, improving cash flow, and maintaining positive customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in collections within a manufacturing environment and proficiency in Oracle ERP systems.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage the collections process by overseeing collection activities for assigned accounts, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of past-due invoices.

    + Communicate with customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to resolve payment issues and negotiate payment arrangements.

    + Review aging reports, identify high-risk accounts, and recommend escalation strategies.

    + Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Customer Service, Billing) to resolve invoice discrepancies and disputes promptly.

    + Prepare and analyze collection metrics, aging reports, and cash flow forecasts for management review.

    + Ensure adherence to company policies, credit terms, and applicable regulations.

    + Utilize Oracle ERP for account management, reporting, and documentation of collection activities.

    + Recommend and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).

    + Provide guidance and support to junior collection staff as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years of AR collections experience

    + Proficiency in Oracle ERP systems

    + Experience with AR Aging Reports

    + Strong skills in accounts payable and receivable

    + Ability to conduct reconciliation and three-way matching

    + Experience with Excel pivot tables

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in a manufacturing environment

    + Nice to have: Experience with large ERP systems, specifically Oracle

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
