    Overview

     

    The Copilot Control System (CCS) team defines Microsoft’s strategy for governing, managing, and measuring Copilot and agent adoption across the enterprise. As the Senior Product Marketing Manager for Outbound, you drive the narratives, content systems, and go-to-market strategies that help customers deploy Microsoft 365 Copilot securely, responsibly, and at scale.

     

    This role blends technical product marketing, content leadership, and market awareness—turning complex technical concepts into clear, actionable stories that build trust and accelerate enterprise adoption. You’ll develop flagship content and event programs, lead global messaging, and partner closely with engineering, product, and field stakeholders to ensure Microsoft’s Copilot governance capabilities are understood, trusted, and differentiated in the market.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead outbound strategy for the Copilot Control System, defining narratives that communicate Microsoft’s leadership in secure, governed, and measurable AI deployment.

    + Develop clear, differentiated messaging for CIO, CISO, CTO, Admin, and AI Transformation audiences, aligning technical value with business outcomes.

    + Build and deliver flagship content—playbooks, whitepapers, blogs, videos, and demos—that illustrate Copilot governance, compliance, and management capabilities.

    + Activate content across Microsoft and partner channels, ensuring alignment with field, analyst, and digital marketing motions to drive reach, consistency, and measurable engagement.

    + Conduct audience and perception research to understand customer needs, preferences, and communication behaviors, using insights to refine storytelling and engagement.

    + Drive (CCS) Copilot Control System presence across Tier-1 events (Microsoft Ignite, Build, AI Tour), leading thought leadership content, demo and session development, keynote contributions, and briefing strategy.

    + Partner with product marketing, and executive stakeholders to align messaging across security, governance, management, and measurement pillars.

    + Partner with field, partner, and executive communications teams to land Copilot governance narratives consistently across global channels and customer engagements.

    + Define success metrics, track performance, and continuously improve marketing motions for impact and efficiency.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements + Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Business Management, or a related field AND 5+ years of experience in product marketing, content strategy, communications, or business development.OR equivalent experience.

    + 2+ years of Product Marketing experience in enterprise software targeting information technology audience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, differentiated messaging that resonates with executive and technical audiences.

    + Demonstrated success developing and executing go-to-market strategies for enterprise SaaS or cloud-based solutions.

    + Understanding of enterprise AI deployment principles, including data governance, compliance, and secure implementation frameworks.

    + Hands-on experience with AI-powered marketing tools, prompt engineering, or agentic workflow design.

    + Deep AI fluency and working knowledge of the AI industry landscape, including major players, foundational models, and enterprise adoption trends.

    + Demonstrated ability to connect AI capabilities to measurable business outcomes and customer value.

    + Proficient collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of driving alignment across product, engineering, marketing, and field teams.

     

    Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
