Purpose of the Role
As a Tool Repair Technician, you are responsible for performing repairs products returned from the field to provide a fully functional unit that meets safety and quality standards. You play a critical part in ensuring customer satisfaction through reliable and efficient service.
We are looking for an individual that can collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to team discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
+ Efficiently evaluate, repair, and refurbish core tools across product lines, meeting established throughput targets.
+ Support the integration and service of newly introduced tools.
+ Ensure high-quality repairs and refurbishments of tools, minimizing defects and rework.
+ Uphold quality standards across the repair floor and support continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
+ Perform accurate data entry into a computer system with minimal errors while ensuring documentation is complete and correct.
+ Perform all tasks in accordance with established safety protocols and ITW health and safety standards.
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
+ At least two years of relevant experience in roles requiring troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
+ Experience a variety of hand tools and measuring equipment
+ Ability to perform and manage workloads independently
+ Must be able lift and/or move up to 18 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 lbs
+ Detailed knowledge of all tools in the multiple lines serviced by the facility is a plus
Hours of Work
Monday – Friday – 6:00am to 2:30pm and OT when required
Compensation Information:
Illinois law requires pay information in job postings. The range for this position is $20.35 to $24.35 per hour. The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
