Responsibilities

As a Phlebotomist. In this key role, you will provide vital information to help our patients understand their health. If you are passionate about helping people and have a drive for service, this could be the role for you!

You will be responsible for obtaining patients' blood specimens using the appropriate equipment in compliance with phlebotomy policies and procedures, including proper techniques, patient identification, biohazard precautions, and timing and fasting requirements.

*Perform venipuncture and finger sticks using standard equipment to include vacutainer tubes and sleeves, tourniquets, blood culture, syringes, and butterfly needles.

*Ensure optimal quality of specimen is obtained for the ordered test.

*Communicates to Nursing when patients refuse blood draws, discrepant patient identification, fasting requirements or other related factors regarding collection.

Qualifications

*High school diploma or equivalent

*Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency

*Previous experience as a phlebotomist

*Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service

*Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

*Ability to work independently or in a team environment

*Comfortable working under minimal supervision

*Valid driver's license/insurance/registration, reliable transportation, and clean driving record

*Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Posted Salary Range

USD $25.00 - USD $30.00 /Hr.
