    Job Description:

    GDIT is seeking a **Program Manager** to join our program supporting the biomedical research community for our customer with the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) at the National Institutes of Health.

    Responsibilities:

    + Manages the overall execution of NHLBI IT support services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objective

    + Supervises and mentor teams of IT professionals, project managers, engineers and architects to foster technical excellence and operational readiness.

    + Oversees the operations of the Service Desk, Configuration Management, and Infrastructure Operations

    + Managing and operating an IT infrastructure (on prem and multi cloud infrastructure) for a premier biomedical research organization serving both the intramural and extramural research communities

    + Implements project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, SAFe) to ensure efficient project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closeout.

    + Maintains and regularly updates a searchable library of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all tasks

    + Ensures timely delivery and high standards of quality for all deliverables

    + Recommends process improvements

    + Facilitates regular communication and reporting on program status, risks, and issues to ITAC, OM, and NHLBI leadership.

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

    + 10+ years of experience managing large-scale IT programs.

    + Experience managing federal contracts

    + Experience working in a biomedical research, or healthcare setting.

    + 5+ years experience with ITIL and Agile/SAFe methodologies.

    + Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills with a track record of improving operational efficiency.

    + PMP

    + Certified Scrum Master

    The likely salary range for this position is $143,995 - $194,817. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
