    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

     

    Overview

     

    The Transportation Innovation intern will support the Transportation team by assessing current scheduling processes and identifying opportunities to digitize and automate through modern tools or AI-based solutions. This intern will evaluate current spreadsheet workflows, research emerging technologies, and create a proof-of-concept or recommendation roadmap for future implementation.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Analyze current transportation scheduling processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.

    + Evaluate and optimize spreadsheet workflows, ensuring data accuracy and ease of use for the team.

    + Research emerging technologies and AI-based solutions that could enhance transportation planning and operations.

    + Develop proof-of-concept models or recommendation roadmaps for implementing digitized and automated solutions.

    + Collaborate with the Transportation team to ensure proposed innovations align with business needs and drive measurable impact.

    Job Requirements

    What We’re Looking For

     

    + Currently enrolled in (or recently graduated from) an undergraduate program.

    + At least 18 years old, authorized to work in the U.S.

    + A valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and a driving record that meets company policy.

    + Must be commutable

    + Willingness to travel as needed.

    + Strong communication and organization skills.

    + Current sophomore or higher in Supply Chain/Logistics Management, Transportation Engineering, or related field.
