    Pay Rate: $22–$25 per hour

     

    Locations: Hawthorne, Compton, Torrance, CA

     

    Schedule: Monday–Friday | Approximately 8:00 AM–3:00 PM

    Amergis Staffing Agency is seeking dedicated, student-centered Behavioral Technicians to support K–12 students in partnering school districts across Hawthorne, Compton, and Torrance.     Position Overview

    As a Behavioral Technician, you will work under the guidance of school staff and behavioral teams to support students with behavioral, social-emotional, and learning needs. You’ll assist with implementing behavior intervention plans, reinforcing positive behaviors, supporting de-escalation strategies, and helping students remain engaged in learning.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide 1:1 or small-group behavioral support to students

    • Implement behavioral strategies and intervention plans as directed

    • Support teachers and school staff in maintaining a positive learning environment

    • Collect and document behavioral data as required

    • Assist students with social-emotional skill building

    • Follow all school district and Amergis procedures and expectations

    Qualifications

    • Experience working with children or youth (school or ABA setting preferred)

    • Ability to remain calm, patient, and supportive in challenging situations

    • High school diploma required; some college or behavioral coursework preferred

    • Strong communication and teamwork skills

    • Must be reliable, professional, and eager to support students
