Join Our Team as a Behavior Technician at Amergis Healthcare Staffing!

Are you passionate about empowering students and making a real impact in the classroom? Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking dedicated Behavior Technicians (BTs) to support students in school settings across the area. You’ll work 1:1 or in small groups, helping students meet behavioral and academic goals while collaborating with teachers and behavioral specialists.

Benefit eligibility depends on employment status.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow guidance from BCBAs, teachers, and program supervisors

• Implement behavior management strategies and provide crisis intervention

• Review and implement individualized behavior intervention plans

• Support academic instruction and development programs (SLP, OT, PT)

• Document sessions and collect behavior/academic data

• Assist students with building daily living and independent functioning skills

• Support students across multiple school environments (classroom, playground, cafeteria, etc.)

• Perform additional related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)

• Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred

• Must meet all professional standards of practice

• Completion of Amergis’ Competency Program

• Current CPR certification (if applicable)

• TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)

• Current health certificate (as required by state/contract)

• Understanding of confidentiality and HIPAA compliance

• Strong communication skills; fluent in English

• Basic computer proficiency

• Must be 18 years or older
