Job Summary and Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Transmission & Distribution Infrastructure (TDI) team. This role supports the development, manufacturing, testing, and deployment of advanced T&D asset monitoring systems. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of a lead engineer and contribute to innovative solutions that enhance reliability and performance in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Execute tasks related to the design, development, and testing of advanced T&D asset monitoring systems
+ Take initiative and ownership of assigned tasks while maintaining a strong focus on quality and customer value
+ Collaborate closely with the lead engineer and broader team to ensure project success
+ Be coachable, receptive to guidance, and demonstrate a strong work ethic
+ Communicate effectively within the team and across stakeholders
+ Ensure compliance with applicable safety and environmental standards during testing and deployment.
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics preferred
+ Associate degree with relevant experience in electrical or mechatronics engineering.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong interest and aptitude in one or more of the following areas:
+ Data analytics and interpretation
+ Programming and coding for embedded systems (e.g., PLCs, microprocessors)
+ Electrical and environmental testing of systems
+ Mechanical packaging of electronic systems for harsh environments
+ Assembly and testing of electronic systems
+ Data acquisition and monitoring
+ Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
+ Demonstrated commitment to quality, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Attributes:
+ Hands-on experience with embedded systems programming and testing
+ Familiarity with mechanical design for ruggedized electronic systems
+ Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges independently
Tools & Technologies:
+ Experience with MATLAB, Python, PLC programming, CAD tools, e.g. Solidworks , and data acquisition systems is a plus.

Travel Requirements:
+ Occasional travel for field testing and deployment (up to 10%).
The salary range for this position is $72,000 USD to $78,000 USD annually.
This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including without limitation applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
This role is eligible to participate in EPRI’s annual incentive program. The amount of incentive varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the plan.
This role is eligible to participate in EPRI’s standard employee benefit programs, which currently include the following: medical, dental, vision, 401k, STD/LTD and paid family leave, life and accident insurance, paid time off (flexible vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay).
