College Intern - Cyber Risk

Some of what you'll be doing:
There are two (2) available positions for this opportunity, one summer internship and one full-year internship. This internship position will assist the Information Security Department in further development of a risk registry to be used as part of an inventory of potentially adverse cyber events to the Port of Seattle. Some of your essential duties include:
+ Assist in implementing a Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) solution strategy.
+ Help to advance the development of a register matrix with event descriptions, to include the likelihood and impact that specific adverse cyber events would have on the Port.
+ Help with modernizing, evaluating, and operationalizing Incident Response (IR) Plans covering multiple Port business entities.
+ Perform assigned tasks for tracking, analysis, and progress on IR workflows and after-action reports as assigned.
+ Assist in other IT security-related projects and initiatives as needed.
Who you are:
+ **A student** – You must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program or a recent graduate (< 1 year ago) of a degree program related to cybersecurity or computer science, or a related field.

+ **Organized and proactive** – You have a track record of successfully meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced working environment. You can balance and prioritize multiple, simultaneous projects with little supervision.
What else you need to know:
+ **Work Schedule** – This is a part-time (up to 20 hours per week) position during the school year and a full-time (40 hours per week) position in the summer. Normal work hours will be scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
+ **Work Environment** – You will primarily work remotely in accordance with the Port’s Flexible Work Arrangement policy and may be required to work in an office environment as needed to meet business and operational needs.
+ **Limited Duration** – This is a limited-duration position and is expected to last no longer than twelve months.
+ **Washington State Residency Requirement** – Employees must establish a residence in Washington state within 30 days of their first day of employment and must maintain a residence in Washington State during their employment with the Port of Seattle. If a position is eligible to telework, work performed while teleworking must be performed in Washington State.
