    Summary You will serve as a HOUSING MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Commander, Navy Installations Command of NAVAL AIR STATION LEMOORE. Responsibilities You will analyze current and past housing program operations and maintenance expenditures to determine long term resource requirements. You will analyze problem areas to implement corrective measures using guidelines of housing program requirements. You will develop housing information summaries for briefing management staff and other officials. You will perform as organization and customer liaison to mediate and resolve disputes between residents and management. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) conducting housing facility inspections and identifying deficiencies; 2) interpreting, explaining and applying technical requirements and specifications to quality problems encountered in such activities as audits, facility inspections, or investigations; and 3) preparing reports and point papers that include information relative to data collection, analysis and recommendation for action. Additional Information (Continued): Physical Demands The work is primarily sedentary in nature, although limited fieldwork may be requires. This may involve periods of walking, standing, stair climbing, reaching and similar activities during facility visits and inspections, May be required to lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds to briefings and meetings. Incumbent uses a personal computer and peripheral equipment during work hours. Incumbent is required to travel to other locations, which involves indoor and outdoor work during field visits. Driving an automobile on station, between activities, to PPV communities, to meetings may be necessary, Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings and/or training. Work Environment: Work is primarily performed in an office environment with adequate heat, lighting and ventilation. The work involves normal risks or discomforts associated with an office environment. There may be occasional exposure to inclement weather and storms, as well as dusty or dirty conditions while inspecting housing units or facilities undergoing repair, maintenance or renovation. Incumbent must observe all occupational safety requirements. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related or A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
