    Job Summary

    The Retail Manager role is an excellent opportunity for an energetic, entrepreneurial leader focused on continuous improvement. This position is responsible for the effective daily operation of the retail/cafeteria environment. Responsibilities include planning and overseeing special functions, maintaining cash controls and payroll records, and hiring and training hourly team members. The Retail Manager ensures customer satisfaction and strong client relationships through the safe and efficient use of resources.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Oversees daily administrative and operational functions

    + Manages all aspects of staff supervision

    + Leads financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting

    + Maintains awareness of market trends and competitive landscape

    + Controls costs and manages account expenditures

    + Ensures sanitation and safety standards for assigned unit(s)

    + Purchases and manages inventory

    + Implements new culinary programs in partnership with marketing and culinary teams

    + Serves as primary liaison with the client

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Culinary degree preferred, or A.A. degree with relevant experience

    + Three or more years of supervisory experience in food service operations

    + Experience in healthcare, senior living, or similar environments preferred

    + Strong knowledge of retail, food, and catering trends, including quality, production, sanitation, cost control, and presentation

    + Proven leadership, management, and coaching abilities

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills

    + Financial, budgeting, and accounting proficiency

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, internet, and related systems

    + ServSafe® certification
