    Oracle Data Platform Sales Leader (Sales Director / RVP – Data Platform Sales)

    We are seeking a dynamic Oracle Data Platform Sales Leader to drive growth and customer success across our comprehensive suite of Oracle Data Platform solutions. The ideal candidate brings proven expertise in enterprise sales leadership, a deep understanding of cloud and data platform technologies, and a passion for supporting customers on their modernization and digital transformation journeys.

     

    In this critical role, you will lead a high-performing team of Data Platform sales professionals, partnering with clients to deliver business outcomes powered by Oracle’s Cloud Data Platform—including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Autonomous Database, Analytics, Data Integration, Security, and next-generation data services.

     

    As a Sales Leader, you will be a master of sales execution, resource enablement, and stakeholder management—from direct reports and pre-sales, to inside sales and channel partners. You will inspire your team to develop impactful account strategies, accelerate new customer acquisition, drive cloud adoption and consumption, and close complex enterprise data platform deals at the C-suite level.

    Key Focus Areas

    + **Oracle Cloud Data Platform:** Autonomous Database, Cloud DW, Data Lakehouse, Data Integration, Analytics, Security, and AI/ML-enabled data services.

    + **Cloud Migration & Modernization:** Applications and data workloads moving to Oracle Cloud, hybrid and multi-cloud strategies.

    + **Industry Solutions:** Enabling vertical market customers to unlock value from their data through industry-specific use cases.

    Responsibilities

    + Own regional sales attainment, customer satisfaction, and third-party alliance development for Oracle Data Platform products and services.

    + Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to maximize Oracle Data Platform adoption and revenue growth.

    + Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales professionals, with a focus on coaching, hiring, onboarding, and developing top talent.

    + Foster executive relationships with customers to promote Oracle's data platform vision and close high-impact deals.

    + Collaborate cross-functionally with consulting, license, technical, cloud engineering, and channel teams to drive joint success in key accounts.

    + Generate accurate revenue forecasts, manage pipeline health, and oversee deal execution and escalations.

    + Build a data-driven and customer-centric culture of success, continuous learning, and sales innovation.

    Requirements

    + 5+ years of cloud/data platform sales leadership experience with a proven track record of driving sales growth and team success.

    + Demonstrated ability to recruit, motivate, and develop high-performing sales teams.

    + Strong executive presence with the ability to sell business outcomes at the C-level in large enterprise environments.

    + Extensive knowledge of Oracle Data Platform solutions or equivalent data platform/cloud ecosystem offerings.

    + Expertise in navigating complex sales cycles and commercial negotiations for data, analytics, or cloud solutions.

    + Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentation) and stakeholder management skills.

    + Ability to interpret complex technical concepts, market trends, and customer needs to shape sales strategies.

    + Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or technical background in computer science, engineering, or related field preferred.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + 10+ years of enterprise sales experience with large quotas and demonstrable success in technology or data platform/cloud sales.

    + 5+ years leading and managing multi-disciplinary sales teams in data platform/analytics/AI domains.

    + Experience selling cloud data solutions to vertical industries (e.g., Telecom) and understanding business drivers unique to vertical.

    + Proficiency in cloud-native and modern data architecture concepts (Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, Streaming, Security, DevOps, ML/AI).

    + Superior public speaking, executive presentation, and consultative selling skills.

    Responsibilities

    Manages and develops a team of sales representatives including recruiting, hiring, and training new reps on the Oracle sales process. May manage a Regional Manager or Branch Manager. Sells and promotes the sales of Oracle products to customers including negotiating price, other concessions and terms and conditions of the sale. Participates in strategic and tactical planning for the division. Builds working relationships with license, consulting and education field managers in the respective territory to develop joint account plans. Develops and execute a territory plan to maximize revenue. Generates and achieves monthly territory forecasts, and accurately predicts revenue on a monthly basis. Manages escalation. Conducts weekly progress meetings with sales team.

    Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

    US: Hiring Range in USD from: $122,200 to $270,800 per annum. May be eligible for equity and compensation deferral. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 45/55.

     

    Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

     

    Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

    8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

    10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
