Job Duties as listed in 790A part [A.8a]:
Prepare calving facility. Calve out calves during the calving season. Medicate, vaccinate and treat for seasonal sicknesses. Care for newborn calves and nursing mothers during the winter and spring months when they require additional care due to fluctuating temperatures and seasonal sicknesses. Feed cattle during snowy/subfreezing periods when no seasonal pasturelands remain available for them to naturally graze upon. Add dry bedding. Clean pens. Remove snow from farm property. Break ice formation in water tanks daily. Fix and repair fencing damaged by drifting snow. Basic farm upkeep duties.
A general work week is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. However, because of the complexity of the crop conditions workers may be requested to work long days as well as on Saturdays, Sundays or Federal Holidays, depending upon the conditions of the commodities being produced. Therefore, hours above 40 per week may be offered but are not guaranteed.

### Minimum Education Required
No High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience Months: Six (6) months experience.
Driver's license in 30 days. Clean driving record required.

### Additional Compensation
At the employer's sole discretion, applicants may be offered higher than advertised wage or possibly an end-of-season bonus, due to factors including experience, merit, attendance, attitude, and/or skill.
As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

### Job Benefits
EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
