    This position is 100% onsite at our Bohemia, NY office.

     

    This position requires a U.S Person or a person who can qualify for a Department of State or Department of Commerce License.

    Position Summary

    TheInside Sales, Special Projectsrole supports the Sales organization by driving process improvements, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring accountability in sales planning, forecasting, and performance tracking. This position leverages prior account management experience to enhance internal coordination, streamline workflows, and strengthen the tools and reporting that enable the sales team to achieve their goals.

     

    While occasional customer interaction may occur, the primary focus of this role is internal support - ensuring that sales operations, planning, and communication across functions are efficient, accurate, and aligned with business objectives.

    Key Position Accountabilities:

    + Sales Operations & Support:Partner with Sales leadership to coordinate initiatives that improve forecasting accuracy, pipeline visibility, and sales performance tracking.

    + Process Optimization:Evaluate current sales workflows and CRM utilization, identifying opportunities to standardize and automate processes for greater efficiency and accountability.

    + Reporting & Metrics:Develop, maintain, and distribute reports and dashboards tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), bookings, revenue, and quote activity. Provide insights to help drive data-based decision making.

    + Sales Planning & Forecasting:Support annual and quarterly sales planning processes, ensuring accuracy in regional forecasts, tracking against goals, and highlighting variances.

    + Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with Operations, Finance, and Business Unit Managers to ensure smooth communication and alignment between Sales and other departments.

    + Documentation & Communication:Maintain organized, up-to-date documentation of sales initiatives, process changes, and internal communications for easy reference and audit readiness.

    + Special Projects:Lead or support initiatives assigned by Sales leadership - such as CRM enhancements, territory alignment updates, pricing audits, or data validation efforts.

    + Training & Support Tools:Help the Sales team effectively use CRM and reporting tools by developing quick guides, best-practice documentation, and supporting ad hoc training.

    + Attention to Detail:Exceptional accuracy in managing data, preparing reports, and tracking performance metrics.

    + Collaboration:Team-oriented with the ability to partner across departments to solve problems and implement improvements.

    + Project Management:Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.

    + Communication Skills:Clear written and verbal communicator who can distill complex information into concise, actionable updates for leadership.

    + Technical Proficiency:Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel expertise preferred), CRM and ERP systems, and comfortable navigating data-driven environments.

    + Continuous Improvement Focus:Self-motivated to streamline processes, enhance systems, and identify efficiencies within sales operations.

    Educational / Experience Qualifications:

    + Education: Bachelor-s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience in inside sales, account management, or sales operations - ideally in a technical or manufacturing environment.

    + System Experience: Prior experience using CRM and ERP systems for sales tracking, forecasting, and reporting.

    Work Environment:

    This position operates in a professional office environment and collaborates closely with Sales, Finance, and Operations teams. While occasional customer communication may occur, the role is primarily focused on internal coordination, analytics, and process improvement to support the broader Sales organization.
