Position Description:
Supports the Director in managing research projects from start to finish, including planning, data collection and analysis
and ensuring compliance with regulations. Key responsibilities include managing timelines, coordinating research faculty/residents/staff and screening and recruitment of participants as well as preparing reports and documentation for stakeholders and regulatory bodies like the Institutional Review Board (IRB).

Major/Essential Functions:
+ Project management and coordination Plan and implement projects: Design research protocols and oversee daily operations.
+ Manage timelines and budgets: Track project progress, expenses, and prepare financial reports.
+ Coordinate activities: Schedule meetings, manage project timelines, and ensure the smooth operation of research activities.
+ Staff management: Assist with medical student assignments, train, and supervise research staff and students.
+ Data and documentation management Data collection and analysis: Assist with or perform data collection and analysis, and maintain detailed records.
+ Documentation: Prepare and maintain study documents, including consent forms, protocols, and IRB submissions.
+ Record keeping: Organize and maintain project-related records, databases, and regulatory binders.
+ Compliance and communication Regulatory compliance: Ensure the project adheres to all ethical guidelines, regulatory requirements, and protocol specifications.
+ IRB submissions: Prepare and submit applications, modifications, and renewals to the IRB.
+ Participant interaction: Recruit, consent, and serve as a point of contact for research participants.
+ Stakeholder communication: Liaise with research teams, principal investigators, and other internal and external parties.
+ Reporting and dissemination Prepare reports: Generate reports on project progress and research findings for internal and external stakeholders.
+ Assist with publications: Help edit and prepare manuscripts, presentations, and other research deliverables.
+ Research support: Conduct literature reviews and provide support for grant applications.
+ Remains current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position.
+ Adhere to all policies, procedures and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.).
+ Personally demonstrate, display and act in accordance with TTUHSC EP's Values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Serve as a Value's leader while actively promoting and encouraging staff across the institution.
+ Perform all other duties as assigned.
