    **Entity:** Clinical Care Associates (CCA) - Penn Primary Care (PPC) and Penn Specialty Practices (PSP) of Penn Medicine Medical Group (PMMG)

    **Department:** Finance

    **Location:** 150 Monument Road

    **Hours:** Per Departmental Needs – Full Time, Remote

    Summary:

    The Budget Manager supports the Associate Director, Financial Planning and Analysis by providing analytical support to entity leadership in the coordination and development of the annual operating plan, efficient customer focused financial processes, and systems. The Budget Manager assists the finance team in providing financial services which supports the business objectives and mission of the entity and UPHS.

    Responsibilities:

    + Manage the activities surrounding the development of the annual operating budget. Develop revenue and expense assumptions. Develop and update annual financial projections.

    + Coordinate the budget timeline within CCA and across areas of the health system.

    + Review monthly financial statements. Identify, interpret, research, and explain monthly variances.

    + Respond to requests from internal and external clients

    + work collaboratively with varying levels of the organization.

    + Analyze monthly department budgeting and accounting reports to maintain expenditure controls.

    + Direct the preparation of regular and special budget reports.

    + Provide advice and technical assistance with cost analysis, fiscal allocation, and budget preparation.

    + Seek new ways to improve efficiency and increase profits.

    + Review operating budgets to analyze trends affecting budget needs.

    + Examine budget submissions for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations.

    + Oversee and manage budgeting tools and related software systems.

    + Assist in implementing the use of budget software directly by Operations staff (practice managers & Directors ofOperations), including training and web form creation.

    + Prepare ROI and pro-forma analyses as directed by Operations with guidance from the Associate Director, FP&A.

    Education or Equivalent Experience:

    + Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required) Master of Arts or Science (Preferred)

    + Education Specialization:Finance, Accounting, or Business AdministrationEquivalent Experience: and 5+ years Relevant experience preferably in a financial management position with a thorough knowledge of health care accounting.

    + Business Administration or Finance/Accounting or CPAEquivalent Experience. Master's Degree could count as a proxy for 2 years of experience
