We're seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to join our Outpatient Neuro Rehabilitation program! As a Certified Medical Assistant at On With Life, you'll play a vital role in helping individuals with complex neurological conditions regain independence and quality of life.
Position Highlights
+ Schedule: Monday-Friday, between 8:00am-5:00pm.
+ Hours: 40/week
+ Location: Outpatient Clinic (Ankeny, IA)

With minimal supervision, the Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for helping oversee administrative, clinical and provider support, insurance and authorization duties of the medical clinic, including:
+ Maintaining a variety of clinical systems to process large quantities of information in an organized, efficient and timely fashion
+ Scheduling, preadmission and admission reviews, communication, updating information, collecting copays, greeting and directing persons served/family, helping identify and assist with finding resources, uploading information, benefits eligibility and authorization.
+ Assisting provider and clinic nurse during clinic treatment days including equipment and instrument preparation, specimen and lab management, and supporting provider workflow
Qualified applicants must have:
+ Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (certificate or diploma) or LPN degree
+ Ability to maintain CPR certification

+ Is a positive and compassionate person
+ Has some personal or professional experience with individuals with disabilities or special needs
+ Is comfortable working with computers and electronic records
+ Is an excellent educator and passionate about providing encouragement
+ Is a servant leader who puts others before her/himself, treating all with dignity & respect
+ 1–3 years in an outpatient or primary care setting preferred, ability to multi-task and fast paced
+ Strong organizational abilities, proficiency in EHR systems, attention to detail, professionalism, and excellent communication skills.
