    Summary

    Chenega is seeking to hire an experienced **Public Health Analyst II** to support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion (DHQP), the Surveillance Branch.

    Responsibilities

    + Review, analyze, and evaluate written material, statistical data, and a variety of other information as a means of developing recommendations for the development and determination of program needs.

    + Schedule and plan agenda for appointments and meetings, and/or schedules conferences. Attend meetings and appointments prepare meeting and appointment minutes and follows up on action items with appropriate staff members.

    + Refer material to appropriate staff or partners concerned when action is required for compliance. Prepares instructions, forms, and sets up check systems to assure compliance.

    + Prepare and track data collection requests submitted to the Office of Management and Budget for approval to collect data through NHSN

    + Use qualitative and quantitative methods to assess progress toward program goals and objectives.

    + Disseminate scientific information related to healthcare associated infections and other NHSN data in the form of presentations, reports, slides, and other materials (e.g., webinars, newsletters, federal documents).

    + Serve as a health educator, presenting lectures, webinars, and workshops.

    + Revise and develop curricula and written and audiovisual teaching materials, including information provided using latest technology (e.g., web based, CD-ROM), for national dissemination ops. Create and submit well-formatted and documented SAS code to conduct quality control and manipulation of data bases including merging, managing, and updating data; generating standard reports; performing data quality reviews; data editing/cleaning; and resolving data quality problems.

    + Create and submit SAS or R code to conduct statistical and epidemiological analyses in support of CDC scientists including frequency analyses, 2X2 analyses, and logistic regression.

    + Conduct data management analyses to draft and publish scientific papers.

    + Facilitate development of data request packages and scientific research approvals (e.g., through institutional review boards)

    + Prepare tables and charts for presentations and publications as well as develop data dictionaries and data management documents for COVID-19 studies working in conjunction with principal investigators.

    + Collaborate with diverse groups of epidemiologists, statisticians, programmers, medical officers, and project managers in response to data analytic requests related to the Surveillance Branch’s programmatic mission and HAI and COVID-19 program activities.

    + Perform day-to-day project tasks to support Surveillance Branch led and supported projects, ensure objectives are accomplished. As necessary, recommend or take corrective action based on scientific and technical expertise.

    + Participate in and/or coordinate meetings, conferences, conference calls, webinars, and in-person meetings as needed

    Qualifications

    + Four(4) to Six ( 6) or more years of relevant, direct comparable or similar work experience.

    + Completed Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience to substitute.

    + Professional working knowledge within SharePoint

    + Professional interpersonal and computer skills, to include but not limited to, skills in operating Microsoft Office software, with emphasis on Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook as well as SharePoint.

    + Skills in managing and prioritizing multiple assignments with strict deadlines and ability to coordinate efforts among many offices.

    + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).

    + Expertise to prepare and present information/data via oral briefing(s) and/or by written reports
