    Job Purpose

     

    Help maintain the successful operation of the fabrication shop. Maximize production and create quality products for our customers. Adhere to all written procedures and all safety standards.

     

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    The Role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    + Individualmust be able to perform the essential duties with reasonable accommodation.

    + Fabricate new parts for customers.

    + Perform basic maintenance on machinery.

    + Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery.

    + Write andmaintainstandard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).

    + Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.

    + Load and unloadpipe.

    + Palletize products for shipping.

    + Support and AssistVEMC.

    + Maintain and secure work tools.

    + Clean andmaintainwork area.

    + Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.

    + Communicate with shopleadfordaily workload.

    + Provide on-the-job trainingtonew employees.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    + Be available for on-call after-hours service

    + Communicate withsalesteamon existing andupcomingprojects.

    + Performquality control procedures.

    + Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself andothers.

    + Report workplace hazards, injuries, or illnessesimmediately.

    Required** **Experience

    + High school diploma or a GED (General Education Degree).

    + Vo-Tech Training or equal experiencein welding and fabrication

    Skills & Abilities

    + Knowledge in the following areas: assembly, parts, ability to read and understand specifications, quality control, and safety.

    + Working knowledge of PVF products and basic weldingfunctionwith carbon andstainless-steelpipe.

    + Experience using one or more of the following tools: horizontalband saw,cutting and threading machine.

    + Ability to set up andoperatemachinery such aspipe bendingmachine.

    + Ability to read and interpretspecificationsrequired bycustomer.

    + Ability to read and understand standard tapemeasure.

    + Overhead crane and sit-down forklift experience preferred.

    + Manual dexterityrequiredfor operating machinery and computers.

    + Must be able tocompletefabrication certification after training.

    Working Conditions

    + Ability to work in warehouse conditions exposed to various elements of temperature and noise (non-climate controlled).​
