    **WHAT YOU'LL DO:** Responsibilities

    What you can expect on a typical day:

    + This role requires a proactive professional who can manage in a fast-paced corporate environment with multiple stakeholders and is comfortable handling and escalating both routine and complex legal tasks with minimal supervision.

    + Manage litigation, subpoena portfolio, and provide day-to-day legal support to internal (legal and business) stakeholders and partners.

    + Manage and track litigation portfolio including lawsuits, claims, small claims, subpoenas, client escalations, and other routine litigation.

    + Coordinate across the litigation team and legal department, including coordinating with outside counsel as needed and assist with fact discovery, document collection, and responses.

    + Maintain litigation calendars, service of process and coordinate with Head of Litigation to assign matters.

    + Maintain deadlines and prepare status reports.

    + Serve as a key point of contact between the litigation team and other internal teams.

    + Review incoming subpoenas, requests for records, court orders and search warrants seeking records related to ADP clients.

    + Research identified client(s) and determine appropriate business unit, contact subpoena issuer to discuss and determine the types of responsive documents, determine due date and request extensions as needed, advise of any fees, discuss desired record format, request responsive records from business unit, review responsive records for accuracy, prepare cover and/or response letter for production along with Affidavits when required.

    + Coordinate document production with ADP’s Global Security Organization team as it related to subpoenas issued to the Global Security Organization in connection with their work with law enforcement and investigations.

    + Review, research, and respond to Information Subpoenas with Restraining Notices, UCC Liens and Garnishments regarding ADP active clients.

    + Respond to requests for information/interviews received by government contractors regarding former ADP associates.

    + Interface and communicate with internal ADP associates including business unit attorneys, global security organization team members, business unit mangers, directors, senior leadership team, and executives.

    + Interface with various federal, local, and state agencies.

    + Manage and maintain subpoenas in ADP’s data management system.

    + Miscellaneous special projects as assigned.

    + Candidate must make critical decisions independently daily which directly impact the outcome of the transactions and to avoid potential problems and costly mistakes.

    + Supports entire internal litigation team.

    + Position requires skills and knowledge to proactively manage the entire subpoena process and meet consistent deadlines.

    + General research skills that include, Westlaw, PACER and research with individual State and Federal Courts.

    Qualification Requirements:

    + College degree; certificate of completion from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program or an Associate degree in paralegal studies preferred

    + 5-7 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal.

    + Must be a self-starter who possesses problem-solving and critical thinking skills in determining solutions to issues that arise pertaining to ADP’s subpoena process.

    + Must have good judgment and be able handle disputes involving the subpoena issuer and ADP.

    + Must be able to determine when to escalate issues to ADP in-house counsel.

    + Must possess excellent communication, proof-reading and writing skills in addition to good vocabulary, spelling, grammar, and punctuation along with good organizational capabilities.

    + Must be able to multi-task and have good time management skills with the ability to prioritize as needed.

    **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:** Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

    + Law school experience.

    + Additional legal experience with general corporate litigation work.

    + Must be well organized and have strong drafting skills with an attention to detail.

    + Must have strong negotiation skills, be able to work independently with minimal guidance, find solutions for complex problems and manage transactions proactively.

    + In-house experience in a large corporate legal department preferred.

    + Must have a strong understanding of computers, data management systems, ability to work in excel and prepare presentations.

    Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. We offer the following benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Matched Retirement Savings, Wellness Program, Short-and Long-Term Disability, Charitable Contribution Match, Holidays, Personal Days & Vacation, Paid Volunteer Time Off, and more. The compensation for this role is USD $51,100.00 - USD $137,070.00 / Year*

     

    *Actual compensation will not be less than the applicable minimum wage or minimum exempt salary requirement under federal, state and local laws.
