Organization & Team Overview

The Business Development Team is focused on identifying large-scale market expansion opportunities across Comcast’s portfolio. The team evaluates emerging technologies, research new markets, builds financial models, and develops business proposals that support long-term strategic growth. Business Development also partners with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transitions from strategy to execution.

Role Description

As a Business Development Intern, you’ll gain exposure to strategic planning, market research, and project coordination. You’ll support initiatives that help Comcast explore new opportunities and drive operational efficiency.

Throughout the internship, you will:

+ Assist in distributing passings reports to sales teams to help increase market penetration.

+ Support the development of business cases and contribute to reporting on new initiatives.

+ Help coordinate WiFi Ready projects, including tracking deployment dates, inventory, and installation progress.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Edge Out projects and ensure alignment between strategy and execution.

By the end of the internship, you’ll have a stronger understanding of how to analyze data, evaluate strategic business opportunities, and manage projects that contribute to market expansion

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

+ Distribute passings reports to sales organizations to support market expansion efforts.

+ Assist in creating business cases and reporting on new initiatives.

+ Support WiFi Ready projects by tracking deployment timelines, inventory, and installation coordination.

+ Help consolidate reporting and performance metrics for strategic initiatives.

+ Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

+ Analytical Thinking – Comfortable working with data to identify trends and support business decisions.

+ Research Skills – Ability to gather and synthesize information about markets, technologies, and business opportunities.

+ Project Coordination – Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage timelines and track progress.

+ Communication Skills – Able to express ideas clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats.

+ Team Collaboration – Enjoys working with others and contributing to shared goals.

+ Microsoft Office Proficiency – Especially Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for business presentations.

+ GIS Mapping experience a plus.

+ Curiosity & Willingness to Learn – Eager to explore new areas and ask thoughtful questions.

+ Preferred Majors: Business Management, Finance, GIS

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements

+ Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university

+ **Rising Junior only** (must have a graduation date between Winter 2027 - Spring 2028)

+ Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2026 semester before graduating)

+ Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program starting June 1, 2026, through August 14, 2026

+ Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs

+ Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)
