Organization & Team Overview
Comcast’s Business Development team works to drive growth through market expansion projects. Our goal is to expand Comcast’s serviceable footprint and drive passings and penetration. We are at the forefront of providing Comcast’s products and services.
Our team consists of 3 different branches who handle everything from funnel development, business justification, new build project launch, and service/access negotiations.
Role Description

As a Business Development Intern on the Business Development team, you will help with new build development discovery and project management, expansion efforts extending our footprint and ROI modeling, and securing access agreements to widen our Comcast Business network.
What are some interesting problems the student will work on?
As a Business Development intern, you may work on searching for areas to expand our footprint, conducting market analysis, influencing process and suggesting process improvement opportunities, learning about new products and technologies and how it can impact our customers.
Where can this student make an impact?
You will be at the forefront of our expansion projects, directly helping to grow our business. Success in this role will be determined by thinking outside of the box, offering insight, gathering data to tell our story.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Administrative assistance with various DXP processes (including development creation/closures and lead finds)
+ Researching county-level proposals for new builds fitting DXP criteria
+ Business development reporting, analytics, and salesforce support
+ Excel, Smartsheet, and pulling various datasets
+ Communicating/collaborating with various cross-functional Comcast teams
+ Attendance of regular new build, sales transition, next-generation product deployment, and project management calls
+ Administrative Assistance on various BDR/MDR tasks
+ Demographic and Economic research on various areas in/out of footprint
+ Collaboration with marketing team on competitive intel/research
+ Regular attendance of project status calls (weekly)
+ Assisting with Business Case creation, mapping, and review of presentation materials
+ Administrative Assistance on various AE tasks
+ Assistance with data cleanup
+ Market research/Property Insights
Preferred Skills
+ Market research and analysis, lead generation tactics, CRM software proficiency (Salesforce), Presentation skills, data interpretation, eagerness to learn
+ GIS Mapping is a plus
+ Microsoft Office Proficiency
+ Preferred Majors: Communications, Business/Business Administration, Business Intelligence
Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
+ Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university
+ Rising Junior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2027 - Spring 2028)
+ Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2026 semester before graduating)
+ Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program- June 1 through August 14, 2026
+ Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
+ Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)
