Permit Specialist

Now is your chance to help move America's freight as a Permit Specialist with Roehl Transport, a Forbes Magazine Best Mid-Sized Employer, and an ATA President's Award-winning carrier! As a permit specialist, you are responsible for obtainment of permits, quote preparation, and assisting in over-dimensional loads. You will also provide permits and detailed instructions to drivers regarding over-dimensional loads. We are looking for someone who will take pride in developing and maintaining good working relationships with our drivers and our operations staff.

This is a full-time position located at our Marshfield, WI headquarters.

The Experience

At Roehl Transport, you won’t just issue permits, you’ll solve complex challenges that impact the real world and keep our drivers moving. As part of our high-performing operations team, you’ll:

+ Assists in obtaining permits for over-dimension loads, arranging escorts, explaining permit procedures and general route information.

+ Preparation of quotes.

+ Works with customer service and operations staff for routing and general permit questions.

+ Explains Canadian customs and routing procedures to drivers.

+ Maintain databases.

+ Works with state and provincial authorities.

We are looking for someone with:

+ Experience with managing many different responsibilities simultaneously in a fast paced environment.

+ Ability to plan and organize work with minimal supervision.

+ Must be a team player, and able to provide assistance to other team members.

+ Ability to use sound judgment and possess proven problem solving analysis and decision making skills.

+ Ability to read and interpret road maps.

+ Attention to detail.

+ Ability to be flexible and able to handle changing priorities.

+ Ability to prioritize workload.
