Job Description
Prepares products and documentation for domestic shipment as well as international export to ensure compliance with U.S. and foreign government laws and regulations. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Performs a variety of tasks. Reports to direct supervisor
Essential Functions:
+ Package all products to ensure protection from damage during shipment.
+ Prepare all necessary shipping documents required to ensure compliance with Detcon shipping procedures as well as U.S. and foreign government laws and regulations.
+ Receive in and Stage Sales Orders as they come through Production
+ QA Sales Orders as they get ready to ship, Coordinate if necessary any discrepancies.
+ Schedule delivery through approved carrier or as requested by customer.
+ Knowledge of ERP System and various shipping solutions systems
+ Follow Process dealing with Returned Materials and IDO’s
+ Load and organize pallets for larger shipments (strap and wrap)
+ Provide freight estimates and shipping costs as necessary
Additional Duties:
+ Assist with maintaining a daily shipping log as needed.
+ Assist with receiving deliveries as needed.
+ Assist with Stockroom Organization as needed.
+ Stage Sales Order shipments and coordinate shortages with Production Manager.
This person is familiar with the Detcon Quality Policy and Quality System documents and has the authority and responsibility to report product or procedural non-conformances as they are recognized while performing their job functions
Education/Skill/Experience:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Excellent telephone and communication skills.
+ Strong computer skills including MS Office
+ HazMat training Certificate Required
