Job Summary
The Data Analyst, Senior plays a critical role in transforming data into actionable insights through advanced analytics, strategic reporting, and intuitive data visualizations. This role leads the development, optimization, and maintenance of dashboards and analytics platforms to support decision-making across the organization. In addition to performing complex data analysis and modeling, the Senior Data Analyst collaborates with business leaders and technical teams to ensure that reports and dashboards are visually consistent, user-friendly, and aligned with strategic priorities. The role may provide mentorship to junior analysts and drive best practices in data presentation and user experience.
Essential Functions
+ Designs, builds, and maintains advanced dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that clearly communicate complex insights to both technical and non-technical users.
+ Leads the optimization of existing dashboards and visual tools to improve performance, usability, consistency, and visual design.
+ Partners with operational leaders and business stakeholders to define key metrics, gather requirements, and translate priorities into reporting and visualization solutions.
+ Administers and maintains analytics platforms, ensuring proper configurations, performance tuning, and adherence to design standards.
+ Extracts, cleans, and transforms clinical, operational, and financial data using SQL, Python, or other relevant tools.
+ Develops and applies data models, analytical methods, and statistical techniques to identify trends, anomalies, and business opportunities.
+ Communicates analytical findings and recommendations clearly through presentations, storytelling, and intuitive dashboards.
+ Collaborates with cross-functional teams including IT, data governance, and end users to ensure data integrity, usability, and access.
+ Mentors junior analysts and promotes adoption of best practices in data visualization, platform use, and user experience.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Business Analytics, or a related field required
+ 4-6 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics.
+ 3-5 years experience in healthcare preferred
+ Proficiency in SQL and at least one BI/Data Visualization tool (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Required Experience
+ 4+ years of SQL experience
+ 3+ years of dashboarding / BI tool experience
+ Familiarity with Oracle Fusion Cloud applications (i.e. Oracle Health EHR, ERP, SCM, and HCM) preferred.
+ Experience with IBM Cognos, Looker Studio, Google Cloud Platform suite (i.e. BigQuery, etc.), and Oracle analytics tools (i.e. Fusion Data Intelligence, BI Publisher, etc.) is preferred.
+ Experience with large-scale data environments, statistical modeling, and enterprise reporting tools required
+ Strong understanding of data visualization principles, UX design for dashboards, and data storytelling.
+ Experience with dashboard performance tuning, platform administration, and establishing visual design standards.
+ Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
+ Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for varied audiences.
+ Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently or lead cross-functional initiatives.
+ Demonstrated ability to mentor others and foster continuous improvement in analytics practices.
