Job Summary

As an Imaging Assistant, you would assist the technologists working all modalities within the Imaging Department, including: Xray, MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine and Interventional Radiology. You will prep and screen patients prior to imaging exam/procedure.

+ **You would assist technologists in verifying patient identity and general patient mobility and positioning in the exam room.**

+ **Assist patients, families and friends as needed; escorts patients to correct locations for imaging studies.**

+ **Facilitates communication between the Imaging Services Department and members of the medical staff and other hospital departments.**

+ **Ensures quality care to patients, adhering to policies, procedures, and standards.**

+ **You will assist with the provision of all clerical services in the department.**

+ **Proactively address patient satisfaction issues related to delays.**

+ **Review written orders and accurately transcribes into the electronic medical record system, entering appropriate history as written on the order.**

What qualifications you will need:

+ **Excellent organization/time management skills.**

+ **Experience in hospital environment a plus.**

+ **Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.**
