    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    The Director of Transplant Finance Operations is responsible for leading and assisting the financial management, strategic planning, and operational performance of transplant programs across HCA Healthcare by developing policies, procedures, and educations to drive excellence. This role ensures fiscal accountability, regulatory compliance, accurate revenue cycle performance, and the alignment of financial strategies with overall program goals. The Director serves as a key partner to clinical, operational, and executive leaders to support the long-term sustainability and growth of transplant services.

    What you will do in this role:

    + Serve as a subject matter expert for transplant finance during strategic planning, program expansion, and service line development to support HCA Healthcare and Parallon

    + Drive the development and implementation of standardized charge capture, financial and, operational workflows across transplant programs

    + Assist transplant programs with accurate charging, billing, coding, and reimbursement processes for transplant-related services

    + Identify and resolve reimbursement challenges specific to organ acquisition and transplant episodes of care

    + Assist programs with compliance with CMS cost report guidelines, UNOS/OPTN regulations, and other transplant-related financial reporting requirements

    + Partner with ITG, Finance, and Enterprise Revenue Integrity teams to enhance transplant-specific data analytics, dashboards, and performance metrics

    + Develop business case on building a transplant centric workflow tool for transplant programs within HCA Healthcare (BMT, CAR-T, and Solid Organ)

    + Collaborate with hospital CFOs, transplant administrators, and clinical leadership to align financial strategies with operational goals

    What qualifications you will need:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field

    + Master’s degree preferred

    + Minimum 7 years of experience in healthcare finance with at least 3–5 years in transplant/complex service lines and 5+ years of management experience

    + Strong understanding of transplant-specific financial regulations, including organ acquisition costs, Medicare cost reports, and payer policies

    + Demonstrated success in strategic financial leadership, budget management, and cross-functional collaboration
